Ok, this is a little personal, but hopefully … Ok, this is a little personal, but hopefully it may help someone else. All my life I’ve battled with constipation. No amount of water, diet change or exercise has seemed to matter. THIS DOES. I follow directions and now thank god, no more issues!!!
Works better than other psyllium products I’ve tried. For this review, I’m going to assume you know what I mean when I say “it works.” Anyway,This product is very effective. I take a level teaspoon (well, not quite level, but not heaping) once in the morning and once before bed and I remain regular. So far, this product works better than the other psyllium products I’ve tried from Amazon.Psyllium whole husks are okay, but the powder (this product) is better for regularity (at least in my system).Psyllium capsules did nothing for me. They seemed great for convenience (no need to mix them into liquid, just swallow them) but just did not work at all.Metamucil is somewhat easier to drink than this product because it stirs into water more easily, and tastes better, owing to the sugar. But it’s more expensive per ounce. Plus, this product works better anyway.I see some people complaining that they can’t swallow this product because of the taste. I’m not going to judge them,…
Great for Keto bread! I purchased this to make Keto bread. I had never heard of using Psyllium husk powder for baking, but thought I would give it a try. Was I surprised! It actually makes a really great tasting bread. The recipe can be turned into buns for hot dogs or hamburgers, or dinner buns. Right now I am baking a sort of flat bread with it, which I plan to split for sandwich slices. It has a very soft bread-like texture, with a believable crust. I think it is too soft to bake in a loaf pan and slice, as I think it needs the crust to give it the stability a person wants in a sandwich. Anyway, the one thing I found out is that the bread has a purplish cast to it. After more reading on the subject, I found this is common with some brands of psyllium husk powder. That is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5.
