Seatbelt frayed to a thread within 3 weeks of purchase Buckling my baby in after only three weeks of using this brand new seat, thank god I noticed the seat belt had frayed to basically a single thread at the very bottom of the belt where it connects to the seat. I donât know if this is a fluke with just the seat I bought or some defect that might recur in other seats, either way itâs absolutely life threatening in the case of a crash. Absolutely the BEST. I just installed and used this car seat with my 1 1/2 year old yesterday. I donât find this car seat to be that much heavier than any other seat weâve had at all. The smaller footprint of 18â in VERY nice, and it seems to also provide a lot more leg room as well. We have an older expedition and you could easily fit 3 of these all the way across.
