When you don’t press it the sound is sustained, but then when you press it the sound got cut off.Also, cannot register the product. Yamaha doesn’t seem to have an option of P-71.UPDATE ON SUSTAIN PEDAL.I found that a number of people have this same problem. Awesome for the price! Let me just preface this review by saying I’ve taken piano lessons from age 7 through 21 and am quite proficient as a pianist. I was looking for a reasonably priced digital piano to replace my ultra-cheap Casio WK-1300, putting the highest priority on authentic keyboard feel, fast key response, and decent sound. I’ve had this piano for a about a month and I am very pleased with it so far! It can compete with pianos that cost hundreds more. I don’t think you can do any better at this price point.

Lovely keyboard – needs a few extras This is a great digital piano for the price. The feel of the weighted keys is the same as much more expensive digital pianos such as the Arias line, and the sound is warm and full. It is lovely to sit and play on. Since the keys are weighted, it is somewhat heavy and I would recommend getting the stand (the P85 stand fits) and a nice bench, which would add another $140 or so.
