I was excited when I first received this product but … I was excited when I first received this product but a couple of things to note before you spend your money:This device “eats” the caller id number and does not pass it along to your telephone. If you depend on the caller id, this device will “block” it.Second, after about 5 months of use, this device suddenly blocks ALL CALLS. I am not sure what happened, but it will block all calls. I’ve tried to factory reset it and it still blocks all calls. I’ve called their tech support line and we tried all sorts of configurations and a second reset and it still blocks all calls. They promised to send to me another unit but the replacement unit never came. Now, they will not return my calls.BUYER beware.

CPR V5000 Has Saved My Sanity I was going out of my mind from the half dozen or so robocalls that I was receiving daily. My phone system only blocked 30 calls, and I had used my limit long ago.I bought the CPR V5000. In fact, I thought that it wasn’t working for the first few days, as I was getting no robocalls. Well, after almost a week, I amdelighted with the Call Blocker.I have two criticisms. I have the blocker installed in series. If I block a call using the #2 on one of my extension phones, it does ring once. When I block a number using the “block call” button, and the blocked number calls, there are no rings. I would have loved to be given some notice when a call is blocked.Despite these two issues, I still have to give the blocker 5 stars, as it does exactly what I want to to do.Addendum:As you may have noticed, my appraisal of this product has gone from 5 stars to 1 star. I bought this product in August of last year. It worked…

Wow… just wow… This thing is amazing. Seriously. Our phone was ringing at least ten times a day and of those maybe one would be someone I wanted to talk to. 90% of the calls stopped as soon as I plugged it in, and over the past week I have been adding the others. The best thing? With this puppy the phone doesn’t “ring once” like it does with other blockers or the “block” from my phone/cable company (not VOIP – we use Cox). Having a phone ring “half a ring” before it is blocked is annoying. This solves that problem since it sits between the wall and the phone so it analyzes the number before the signal gets to the phone to ring it. Awesome technology. We were to the point we were going to get rid of our home phone due to the blind dial calls (“hello, this is Windows support”), the Out of Area calls and the Political “can I have three minutes of your time” and then you spend 30 minutes listening to someone read asinine questions about a bunch of clowns running…
