It’s no secret: When it comes to healthy omega-3s, krill oil is better than fish oil, delivering essential fatty acids like EPA and DHA in a form that’s more readily used by your body. These fatty acids are thought to support healthy joints and mobility, normal cognitive function, balanced hormone production and good cardiovascular function. Our Krill oil also contains 1mg of astaxanthin, a super antioxidant that helps prevent oxidation of the oil.

Certified Sustainable by the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC). Sourced from the pristine waters of the Southern Ocean using Eco-Harvesting; an environmentally friendly technology that singles the Krill out by-catch and minimizes environmental impact.

But not all krill oil is created equal. Sports Research 1000mg Krill Oil features Superba2, a type of oil extracted from Euphausia superba, an Antarctic krill species rich in omega-3s. In one study participants started out with an average Omega-3 Index of 2.0, a relatively low value. After 8 weeks of daily supplementation with 2 grams of Superb Krill, the average index went up to 4.5, an increase of 125%.

My Cholesterol – 210 To 187 In 41 Days! Hello! I’m not a regular reviewer, but I am compelled to write this review because I just got my labs back and love my results so far. I take blood tests regularly to monitor my health. I have had chronically high cholesterol my entire adult life. I am a 44 year-old, very petite, African Amercian Female. I first learned about my high cholesterol over 20 years ago while in college when I got the very disturbing news that my cholesterol was 305!! Since, I got it down and maintained it within the low 200’s. Over the past couple years, I’ve really monitored my total cholesterol, but could not get it to trend under 200. Below are my quantified results:Apr 2015 – 203Aug 2015 – 217Jul 2016 – 199December 28, 2016 – 210.Super frustrated with my December levels, I researched and discovered Antarctic Krill Oil by Sports Research and Icelandic Astaxanthin by AlgaLife. I ordered them via Prime, and on Jan 5, 2017, began taking 2 capsules of the…

One-a-Day Krill Oil If you’re looking for Krill Oil then look no further than Antarctic Krill Oil from SportsResearch. What makes Antarctic Krill Oil from SportsResearch better? Bang for your hard-earned bucks. If you’re doing comparative shopping and thinking Brand X has more EPA, DHA, or astaxanthin, remember that those numbers on the competitor’s bottles usually require you to take multiple softgels per dosage. Antarctic Krill’s numbers are for 1 Liquid Softgel daily!Let me put one criticism to rest right now. There are two ways of measuring astaxanthin – either as estrified or in diol. Diol is a much better and more accurate method of measuring astaxanthin because it’s pure. However, most Krill Oil cites their astaxanthin in the estrified form which contains a lot of fatty acid esters which bulks up the amount. Companies are counting on your ignorance! And if they don’t write anything, it’s safe to assume it’s the estrified variety.Since this is a one-a-day Krill…

Very Effective I’ve taken krill oil before, but only 500mg at a time. When I increased to 1000mg (I weight 200) I had a noticeable decrease in aches and pains which I attribute to a reduction in inflammation. I’m 58 and was just thinking “this is my new normal”. Glad I tried the Antarctic Krill Oil!
