Where two or more are gathered, there will be food!  Keto Gatherings celebrates food that is to be shared with others. Regardless of the occasion, there are always delicious low carb options for everyone to enjoy and Keto Gatherings brings them all together. Organized by month, each chapter features a birthday treat as well as menu ideas any celebration, including cocktails.  There is also an ice cream flavor of the month that will convince anyone who tries them that a ketogenic diet is sustainable. The recipes in this book are not only keto recipes, but simply recipes for fantastic foods that anyone will enjoy. These are the dishes that I’ve shared with my family and friends for over five years of gatherings.

Heavy on sweets I’ve been eating keto for 3 years now and was looking for some new ideas. I decided to give this book a shot. And many of the recipes do look good, but the concentration is heavy on sweets (breads, ice cream, etc.). Since we typically avoid anything sweet–even keto–the book is not quite a helpful for me as I’d hoped. The recipes are broken down by month/holiday rather than recipe categories, and I don’t care for that organization. All in all, I’d give this 3 stars because the recipes do look good. If you are looking for bread/muffin/cake/ice cream recipes, I think you’ll be pleased. If you don’t typically consume these items, I recommend looking for a different book. I wish I had…

It has finally arrived! Finally! Delivery date arrived and 3 copies are here! The book is beautifully illustrated with photos and personal stories. I have been a Kristie-follower since the beginning, am a lifetime ketoer after 3 years, maintaining an 80+ pound weightloss, and am 65 years old. Kristie is a Southern cook and so am I. I love that she recreates the recipes I love to cook. Kristie has walked a keto mile for over 5 years. She knows what fat and pain feel like. She knows what keto can do for us all and she is determined to pay her blessings forward. She connects well with the “least of these”, the men and women who struggle daily with metabolic illness that others just see as fat, lazy and out of control. Keto is revolutionary, yet the world is slow to take it seriously. Hopefully people in the keto spotlight, like Kristie, will continue to promote its health benefits so that we will be more recognized in medical facilities, restaurants, grocery stores, etc. As for the recipes. I have…

Duplicate recipes included and rampant use of oat fiber I own all three of Kristie Sullivan’s cookbooks. I haven’t tried a recipe I don’t like. I gave this book 2 stars for the “new” recipes it contains. This book includes many recipes that can be found in Journey to Health and Keto Living Day by Day. I really don’t appreciate buying the same recipes multiple times. Make each new cookbook truly NEW. Stop padding the manuscript with something you’ve already published.I am not fond of the way this book is organized either. It’s a novel idea considering the title; however, it’s not user friendly in the kitchen. The recipes are grouped by months.Kristie Sullivan is a person who preaches the importance of finding other ways than food to celebrate life and people, so the preponderance of desserts/sweets in this book surprised me. There is a lot of use of oat fiber which many other keto leaders say is NOT keto.
