A Superior Fish Oil: Most other brands provide concentrated fish oil from mixed sources (anchovies, mackerel, sardines) and in ethyl ester form. Sports Research Omega-3 Fish oil is from only Wild Alaska Pollock in superior triglyceride form and containing the highest levels of EPA and DHA per fish softgel.

Triglyceride Fish Oil vs> Ethyl Ester Triglyceride oils are the molecular form found naturally in fish, and they are more resistant to oxidation than ethyl ester oils. Most important, however, is the fact that triglyceride fish oils are metabolized and absorbed more efficiently and completely than ethyl ester oils.

Quality, great price! Seller ships very fast. Finding a clean fish oil is exhausting and took me 3 hours of researching and reading. I did the fish oil test by cutting open a capsule, squeezing it in a styro foam cup and waiting 15 minutes. If the oil burns holes in the cup, it means it is NOT the pure triglycerides form but rather a synthetic form. This brand past the test – zero holes! In contrast, my 2 friends’ Carlon’s and Life Extension’s fish oil burnt big holes in the cup!!! Nordic Naturals was the best, but it has become very expensive so I’m sticking with this brand.

This product does the job. I am a cardiac patient with stents so I have to be very careful about cholesterol and triglycerides. After having some blood work done, my results showed my triglycerides had climbed to 196. I consulted my cardiologist and he recommended taking a fish oil supplement, so after some extensive research I chose this product. I took two capsules a day for an entire year and I can assure you that it works. My last blood test showed my HDL (good) cholesterol had a 25% increase, my LDL (bad) cholesterol had an 8.75% decrease, and my triglycerides had dropped from 196 to 86 – that’s a 56% decrease! I’m hoping that by taking this product, I will be able to reduce or eliminate the statin I am currently taking. I cannot recommend this enough.

Nutrigold customer since January 2015 until price hike, Sports Research is the perfect replacement I’ve been using Nutrigold’s Triple Strength Omega-3 Gold Fish Oil Supplement for almost two years and couldn’t be happier with the product. A few weeks ago I needed to make another purchase and saw that it was no longer available on Amazon. It led me to scour for a replacement, and I’d hoped to find something similarly high quality yet affordably priced, which Nutrigold once was. After looking around at many fish oil products I decided to try Sports Research Omega-3 Fish Oil, and I’ve been using the product for about two weeks now. Today I randomly decided to check to see if Nutrigold’s product was available again, and it is now back in stock… for $58.99. When I first purchased their product in January 2015 I paid $37. The price went up during the following 18 months, fluctuating up and down in the low to mid $40 range. I found even the mid $40 range to be a bit expensive but I thought Nutrigold’s product was worth it. Fast forward to today and the price has skied to…
