WASHINGTON — LongHorn Steakhouse is launching steak commitment rings to remind people that the way to someone’s heart is through their stomach.
The restaurant announced that it would sell limited-edition rings made with real LongHorn steak and seasoning.
“Valentine’s Day is around the corner. Time to make the commitment to your steak temp official,” the casual dining restaurant said Wednesday. “Ready to take the next step? Say ‘YES’ with a limited-edition ring that’s handcrafted with real LongHorn steak and seasoning.”
The rings will sell for $50, not including shipping. The rings will be available Feb. 4.
“Our Grill Masters commit to grilling every steak right. With a stone made using our real steak and seasoning, our new steak commitment rings show you won’t settle for the wrong temp,” the restaurant said on its website.
According to LongHorn, the rings will come in the following steak temperatures: rare, medium-rare, medium, medium-well and well-done. The rings come in a wooden box with LongHorn Steakhouse logo engraved on it. Inside is a velvet cushion to showcase the steak ring.
The restaurant is also doing a giveaway for one ring on social media.
According to the giveaway rules, the ring comes with a sterling silver band, and the winner can choose the ring style and color.
