Donât follow directions for more brassy color correction To tone out brassiness, I applied this to dry hair. I did handfuls of globsâ I think I used about 1/4 of the bottle and made sure just about every strand was saturated. I left it on for about 30 minutes before using a bit of cold water to lather it up.
