Guadalupe Martiarena is the company of a young architect, who, inspired by Argentine leather, a material she discovered and researched in her father’s saddle factory, designs an original line of bags, wallets and accessories with a marked signature. The result is an exclusive product that stands out for its morphology, color, quality and artisanal production.
At Guadalupe Martiarena each model is considered a small piece of use and also of art that shines in itself and makes those who adopt it shine in turn. Many models are in fact thought of as unique pieces, given their random combination of parts and colors or their spontaneous interventions, sewn or painted; In these cases no two copies are the same.
Guadalupe Martiarena proposes a new style in leather goods, romantic and urban, feminine and sober; relaxed and striking due to the novelty of its designs, thus reinventing the tradition of the trade according to its family history. About me
Architect and bag designer
After finishing my degree in Architecture at the national Buenos Aires University, I began to work in an Architecture Studio and in parallel to visit my father’s frame factory a few times a week. At first I didn’t have any particular intentions regarding his work, but slowly I became involved.
I have always liked manual activities, in fact I started doing some tests with leather and machines, tools that I had right there. I did the first rehearsals and thought about offering them; they were successful. It is in this way that I decided to formalize my venture. Currently my own signature leather brand. I left my job at the architectural firm and began to regularly frequent the workshop, my new space for work and experimentation.

The idea of this meeting is that you can come into contact with leather and some of the techniques and tools with which it is worked. Tell you a little about this noble and exciting material; its origin, treatment and also about the leather craft so deeply rooted in the local culture. And that you can put together with your own hands a personalized passport holder envelope with your name, initials and painted intervention.

All this within the framework of a spontaneous meeting where we will taste some mate and/or wine accompanied by biscuits and cheese.
