This portable spider box is made in the USA and manufactured in Texas. Designed for indoor, outdoor, and rugged applications, it allows operators to use 480V Delta power via a 30-foot line-in cord. The unit includes two 30-amp output receptacles, each protected by a 60-amp 3-pole 480V molded case circuit breaker. It features a 30-foot #4/4 AWG Type SOOW cord terminated in a 60-amp 3-phase + ground UL 1686 Style II pin and sleeve male plug, compatible with Arktite and Versamate receptacles. The receptacles are DSN30 63-34043 Meltric connectors. The enclosure is constructed of steel with a NEMA 3R rating and finished in safety yellow with impact- and flame-resistant weatherproof covers for robust protection. The system provides short circuit, overload, open neutral, and reverse phasing protection, with automatic shutdown on overload to prevent damage. Two angled black legs and a low center of gravity prevent tipping during use. This unit is built in accordance with NFPA 70 (National Electric Code) and is approved for wet locations. NEMA 4 and NEMA 4X configurations are available upon request. Applications include construction sites, plant maintenance, turnarounds, shipyard operations, and other locations where temporary external power is required.
