The pair welcomed an eaglet on Thursday night at their nest in Fort Myers.
TAMPA, Fla. — Two famous eagles, M15 and F23, welcomed their first baby of the nesting season.
The Southwest Florida Eagle Cam, based in Fort Myers, shared the announcement on Facebook, saying it is a “powerful reminder of how incredible nature truly is.”
E26 was born just before 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
Thousands of people watch the pair every year through the livestream, broadcast on YouTube and on the Dick Pritchett Real Estate website, which is the company that runs it.
This year marks the third season for M15 and F23 as a mated pair, and the first after the eagles contracted and overcame the bird flu. Sadly, they lost both their eaglets to the disease in the spring.
F23 was first documented in the area during summer 2023 before officially bonding with M15 in October 2023. They raised and fledged their first offspring in spring 2024.
The two officially reside in the nest between the months of October and May.
The original adult bald eagle pair, named Ozzie and Harriet, had been coming to this nest since 2006. After Ozzie passed in 2015, Harriet and M15 bonded until Harriet went missing in 2023 and never returned to the nest.

The livestream features four cameras, which are environmentally friendly, non-intrusive and positioned to offer the best view of the nest, capturing “nature in its true form.”
People can also go in person to visit the nest, but staff said the best viewing location is from your desktop at home.
