GEORGIA, U.S.A. — A winter weather storm brought freezing rain and left ice across metro Atlanta and north Georgia over the weekend, with some areas seeing up to 1/2 inch of ice.
While some areas closer to downtown Atlanta saw ice only on trees, grass, and power lines, other areas, such as Athens, saw a wintry mix, leaving slush and ice, with up to 1/4 inch of ice in some areas.
