ATLANTA — The first-ever drone service, which launched in metro Atlanta in 2025, is doubling the number of delivery hubs.
Wing, a subsidiary of Alphabet, partnered with Walmart and launched the drone delivery service in December 2025. Customers order the Wing app and designate a drop-off point. Wing’s automated drones then travel about 60 mph at roughly 150 feet before gently lowering packages to the ground without assistance.
In December, the company announced six Walmart delivery hubs in metro cities, including Conyers and McDonough. Since the launch in metro Atlanta, Wing said it is delivering thousands of packages to homes per week across the region.
Now, Wing is adding six more Walmart delivery hubs to the list in areas that span from Woodstock to Stockbridge. Those operational sites include:
1400 Hudson Bridge Rd, Stockbridge, GA 30281
5600 N Henry Blvd, Stockbridge, GA 30281
3435 Centerville Hwy, Snellville, GA 30039
5401 Fairington Rd, Lithonia, GA 30038
8424 Mall Parkway, Lithonia, GA 30038
6435 Bells Ferry Rd, Woodstock, GA 30189
According to the company, the ultra-fast drone delivery is serving more than 120,000 households in the metro. This service allows residents to avoid the busy metro Atlanta traffic, but still receive the essential items they need from Walmart, from dinner ingredients to art supplies. Wing said the drone can deliver the items as fast as 30 minutes.
