McDonald’s expands value menu with new Under $3 options and $4 breakfast deal

WASHINGTON — McDonald’s is expanding its value menu, introducing new lower-priced options as it looks to give customers more flexibility amid rising food costs.

The company announced its updated McValue lineup will roll out starting April 21 at participating locations nationwide, featuring a new “Under $3” menu and a $4 breakfast meal deal alongside existing lunch and dinner bundles.

“For generations, McDonald’s has been committed to delivering great value our fans can count on,” Alyssa Buetikofer, Chief Marketing and Customer Experience Officer for McDonald’s USA said. “As our customers’ expectations evolve, we’re making it easier for them to get the value they’re looking for — on their terms.”

The new Under $3 Menu will include at least 10 items available throughout the day.

Breakfast options include items like the Sausage McMuffin®, Sausage Biscuit, Sausage Burrito, hash browns and coffee, while lunch and dinner options feature items such as the McChicken, McDouble, 4-piece Chicken McNuggets, small fries and soft drinks.

McDonald’s will also introduce a $4 breakfast meal deal, which includes a choice of a Sausage McMuffin or Sausage Biscuit, along with hash browns and a small coffee.

Existing meal deals will remain in place for later in the day, including a $5 McChicken meal and a $6 McDouble meal, both served with 4-piece Chicken McNuggets, small fries and a drink.

“Value at McDonald’s isn’t a moment — it’s a journey we’ve been building together over time,” Scott Rodrick, a McDonald’s owner/operator and OPNAD chair said. “This next evolution of McValue builds on what fans already love, and as franchisees, we’re excited to offer fans more options that fit their lives, routines and budgets.”

The company said the updated menu is part of a broader effort to offer more affordable options as customers look for ways to stretch their budgets.
