DUBLIN, Ohio — Wendy’s is rolling out a batch of new menu items just in time for spring, and they’re mixing sweet flavors with a little heat.
The fast-food chain just announced it is adding seven new items to its menus nationwide beginning Monday, April 27.
The new lineup leans into seasonal trends, including cookie dough and watermelon, along with a trio of spicy options.
On the sweeter side, the fast food chain is introducing the Cookie Dough Frosty Fusion, which blends cookie dough pieces as well as brownie batter sauce into its signature Frosty base. The chain also announced it is adding a Watermelon Lemonade made with fruit puree, a Watermelon Sparkling Energy drink and a Sprite Watermelon beverage.
For customers looking for more heat, Wendy’s is launching three limited-time items featuring jalapeños.
The Jalapeño Ranch Cheeseburger combines beef, jalapeño ranch, sliced jalapeños and American cheese. The Jalapeño Bacon Breakfast Potatoes include seasoned potatoes topped with bacon, jalapeños and Swiss cheese sauce. A new line of Jalapeño Breakfast Biscuits adds jalapeños to sandwiches with egg, cheese and either sausage or bacon.
Wendy’s said the new menu is designed to bring “bold flavors” and seasonal variety as spring gets underway.
All items will be available at participating Wendy’s locations across the U.S. starting April 27, while supplies last.
Customers won’t have to wait until Monday for everything, though. Wendy’s loyalty members can get early access to the new Cookie Dough Frosty Fusion through the Wendy’s app starting Thursday, April 23, through Sunday, April 26.
