Live Music and International Entertainment Happen all Weekend

at the 83rd Annual Atlanta Dogwood Festival

April 12-14

ATLANTA (March 29, 2019) – It might be the country’s third-oldest fine arts festival, but the 83rd Annual Atlanta Dogwood Festival also offers attendees plenty of live entertainment throughout the weekend. The Coca-Cola Main Stage features music in a variety of genres for three tune-filled days and the International Stage brings hundreds of performers representing countries throughout the world to the festival.

Throughout the festival weekend, the award-winning International Stage located on the Lake Clara Meer dock welcomes hundreds of performers representing Atlanta’s global communities. With entertainment ranging from dancing to singing, from martial arts to drumming, and several additional varieties, the International Stage celebrates Atlanta’s diversity. The Cultural Exchange Pavilions, which are now located near Greystone bathhouse, introduce festival attendees to countries and cultures from around the world.

The best way to enjoy the Main Stage performances is from the VIP Tent!  The festival is free to attend but offers multiple upgraded ticketing options for attendees who want a place to relax and enjoy the show.

Backyard Bites & Brews

Backyard Bites & Brews is an all-inclusive experience that has become a preferred festival feature. This special tasting event brings together restaurants, chefs and local breweries under the spacious VIP Tent with plenty of seating, private bathrooms and a dedicated bar. In addition to providing generous samples, participating eateries compete for Best Bites as attendees vote for their favorite selections.

Participating restaurants for 2019 include (restaurants vary by day) Babalu Tapas & Tacos, Bulla Gastrobar, Buttermik Sky Pie Shop, Cinnaholic, City Barbeque, CO, Eclipse di Luna, Grand Champion BBQ, Naan Stop, New Realm, Pita Mediterranean, Rock’s Chicken and Fries, The Meltong Pot, Tin Lizzy’s Public School 404 and Simons. Current breweries and beverage companies include Chattanooga Whiskey, Corona Light, Lupa’s Kitchen Kombucha, McManis Wines, Modelo Especial, New Realm Brewing, Orpheus Brewing, Post Meridiem, Urban Tree Cidery and Wild Heaven. Additional restaurants and breweries will continue to be announced leading up to the festival.

For a perfect view of the Main Stage on festival evenings, visitors can purchase VIP Tent tickets and enjoy dinner from J.D.’s Bar-B-Que, reduced-price drinks, comfy seating and private bathrooms.

ABOUT THE ATLANTA DOGWOOD FESTIVAL

The city’s longest-running festival, the Atlanta Dogwood Festival is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to providing the annual springtime celebration of arts and entertainment. The Society of American Travel Writers named the Atlanta Dogwood Festival as one of the Top 10 Spring Festivals in 2012 and Sunshine Artist magazine named the festival the 8th best in the country in 2017. The Art Fair Sourcebook ranked the Atlanta Dogwood Festival in its list of Top 25 Fine Art Festivals in the country for 2013.
