Cambio de Paradigma

Atlanta, GA – November 19th, 2021: Today, El Cézar debuts his first solo project, “Cambio de paradigma,” via Cinq Music. Cambio de paradigma is a work inspired by Latin American and African rhythms. El Cézar worked diligently in his bedroom studio as he produced, wrote and engineered himself through the process. Before the release of the EP, El Cé teased
the project with two singles, Dime & Calipso, which received positive reviews from music critic, CoreanoLoco TV. El Cé continues to experiment with rhythms in his first installment.

El Cézar decided at the last minute to add, his now most favorite track off the EP, sinmi. This was the last to be created out of the six. He decided to choose this song because of the heavy groove. “I made this track in one sitting, beat and all. I started out with the rhythm first then came the melodies. I didn’t even get far into the beat mixing process; I was too ready to record. The word sinmi came from CoreanoLoco. It’s short for ‘sin miedo,’ fearless in Spanish. I used the word to describe a girl who was fearless when it came to demanding what she wants from a man.” sinmi is a sensual vibe with a heavy percussion-driven beat. El Cézar is speaking to all the fearless ladies who are on a
mission at the club.

The art shows a sudden ripple in time where El Cézar splits into four versions of his past selves. A sudden paradigm shift so powerful that it tore the space-time continuum. The paradigm shift being the experimental palm tree music within the project. Tati also wanted to make sure they incorporated tiny easter eggs that show off a bit of who El Cézar is. Tati is one of El Cé’s closest friends and creative director for years. This chemistry has allowed the Tati to understand El Cézar’s music and bring it to life with illustrations.

This project came about during one of his late-night sessions; El Cé noticed a unique underlying pattern within the songs he was recording at the time. The pattern being the dark melodies accompanying the exotic rhythms. He concluded that it was about time for his first solo work and these songs are the perfect way to demonstrate his take on palm tree music. The name was inspired by his unorthodox approach to international music. A paradigm shift is a sudden change in fundamental thinking and practices by introducing something truly new. The ability to
have bended genres is that paradigm shift. It demonstrates that there are never any boundaries in music.
