INDIANAPOLIS — Members of the Indianapolis Colts have been around town all season long, getting in the holiday spirit and spreading cheer.
We heard some holiday music in the aisles of the Target in Fishers Tuesday, Dec. 23, courtesy of a group from Florida called “Careless Vibez.” The group included Colts safety Cam Bynum.
They decided to sing some tunes during a holiday shopping event involving Bynum’s foundation, as well as Firefly Children and Family Alliance.
Bynum made a donation that allowed around 20 families to go shopping for gifts this holiday season.
“It made me feel like a kid again, being able to walk through and see the the toys nowadays and how much different they are from when I was a kid, but seeing the joy on their faces because that’s exactly what what I was having fun doing as a kid,” Bynum said. “When I get some Christmas money on my birthday, my parents would take me shopping. That was the exact joy that I had, so it made me feel like a kid again.”
Bynum told 13News he’s not the only one who made this possible. He said he’s got a team around him, including his family and friends, who love to serve and give back to the community.
Bynum and Careless Vibes also made a visit Tuesday to Morning Light Home. They surprised Kevin, a lifelong Colts fan who is receiving hospice care. Bynum spent time talking with Kevin and others in the home and shared some of his favorite Christmas memories.
