Warming centers will be open in DeKalb County from Wednesday evening through Friday.
DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — DeKalb County said Tuesday it will open warming centers beginning on Wednesday evening as bitter cold is on the way.
The county said it will activate its warming centers beginning at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, January 14 and they’ll continue to be open through Friday. January 16.
That includes two 24-hour activations for January 15-16:
- Frontline Response International, 2585 Gresham Rd SE, Atlanta
- Exchange Park Intergenerational Center, 2771 Columbia Dr, Decatur
And there are four overnight locations for January 14-16:
- Exchange Park Intergenerational Center, 2771 Columbia Dr., Decatur
- Frontline Response International, 2585 Gresham Rd SE, Atlanta
- St. Vincent de Paul, 2050-C Chamblee Tucker Rd, Chamblee
- Mason Mill Recreation Center, 1340 McConnell Dr, Decatur
All transportation routes originate from Frontline Response Headquarters (2585 Gresham Rd SE, Atlanta) and are scheduled for initial pickups to be completed by 7:30 p.m. Following the initial routes, final sweeps will continue from 7:30 p.m. until 10 p.m., ending promptly at 10 p.m.
