According to the State Parks website, all campgrounds at select parks will be closed through Tuesday, Jan. 27, and 16 warming centers are now open.
ATLANTA — Georgia State Parks (GSP) have closed some areas and opened warming centers as the state prepares for a winter storm that is expected to impact most of the southeast on Saturday.
According to the State Parks website, all campgrounds at select parks will be closed through Tuesday, Jan. 27, and 16 warming centers are now open.
Park officials said residents are welcome to bring their pets to the warming shelters as long as their four-legged friend is on a leash that is no longer than six feet. The pet must also be in the company of the owner at all times and never left unattended. Pet owners are encouraged to bring crates and/or travel kennels.
