
“Moana 2” topped the charts for movies, but there were some streaming surprises for shows.
BURBANK, Calif. — Disney is celebrating a big year on its streaming platform, as 2025 comes to a close.
With ABC News and ESPN added into the app this year, and Hulu already added, Disney+ claims to have more than 55,000 hours of content available to explore.
Here are the highlights from 2025:
- “Sons of Anarchy,” “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, ”Spidey Amazing Friends,” and “Malcolm in the Middle” joined the billion hours streamed club.
- The most watched day of the year on Disney+ was May 4 — bolstered by Star Wars content.
- The most watched series of the year was “Bluey” with 26.5 million rewatches.
- ABC News topped the most watched stream channel.
- “Moana 2” hit more than 80 million rewatches to be the most viewed movie.
- Over half-a-billion votes were cast for “Dancing with the Stars,” which was also the most watched live title on Disney+.
- The most viewed docuseries was “Devil In The Family: The Fall Of Ruby Franke.”
- There was 90 million hours of sports viewed since ESPN was added to Disney+.
- Users watched 3.4 billion hours of adult animation content
