Mary was born in Massachusetts in 1927 to Armenian parents who fled the 1915 genocide to Greece and eventually got to America. Pyxie told her grandmother’s life story in multiple parts on her TikTok account.

In the five-part series, Pyxie explained how Mary made her way back to Armenia in 1947 where she met her husband, had two children and returned to the United States in 1966.

In these same videos, Pyxie said Mary had five siblings, all who passed before she did.
