Inactive cards cause embarrassing headaches! What an embarrassment Amazon caused. I ordered this gift card and gave it as a gift and it did not work. I got a call from my friend saying âhey apparently thereâs no money on this gift card.â When I called Visa they told me it had never been activated by the Amazon team so I called Amazon and was treated like I was trying to scam them out of something. I was left on hold for 10 minutes passed around from person to person; no one able to help me. Then I was told I had to call a different number where again I was on the phone for over 45 minutes. At the end of the day no one could help me and told me that someone would reach out to me within a few days. I ended up getting an email today saying they are going to send me a new gift card but it wonât get here for another week; past Christmas, past my friendâs birthday.
Could not register the card on their website. Could … Could not register the card on their website. Could not activate it either. After calling the customer service number on the card, they told me the merchant never loaded it or activated it.Amazon customer service did send me a replacement card immediately, but ultimately not worth the hassle.
Card was invalid! Thank goodness I always double check my gift cards before I use them or give them as gifts! I received this gift card today after paying for 1-day shipping and it was INVALID! I couldn’t believe it! One good thing though, after emailing Amazon about it, they replied within an hour and said my purchase would be refunded in a few days. Good, but not so great if I wanted to actually use it as Xmas gift! I will refrain from buying a Visa gc here, very unfortunate experience.
