Great piece of gear and customer service This interface is legendary and the customer support has been great, i initially received some defunct mounting brackets, but Apogee were quick to send me a replacement bracket to fix the issue.
Donât Listen to the Naysayers. Buy This. I think itâs unfair to complain about a product simply because you didnât do your research on it ahead of time.Yes, the Element uses Thunderbolt 2. That fact is obvious when you read the name and when you do quick research on the product. That being said, Iâve owned the Apogee Duet 1, Duet 2, Quartet, Apogee Element, and most recently, the Apogee Ensemble. The Apogee Element, which I purchased from Sweetwater, was among my favorite because of its simplicity, high-quality preamps that give you what I can only describe as a silky sound characteristic. The preamps made my Neumann TLM-103 come alive. To make it even better, Apogee created a new Apogee Control software that works well with major DAWs, but is a perfect companion to Logic Pro X. Not only that, the software is efficient, clean, and easy to use. You can even control from any iOS device.The only reason I sold it was because I needed the SPDIF inputs and outputs of the Ensemble. NO Thunderbolt Daisy Chaining Big design flaw with only one Thunderbolt port. There are no thunderbolt splitters, only daisy chaining, and this product can’t daisy chain.It’s a shame, this is has so many other things going for it.
