  1. Bowflex, Ironmaster or Power Block? I purchased a set of 552’s earlier in the year when they were on sale for just over $200. I have had Power Blocks in the past and liked them but my wife hated having her hand inside the block and she was going to use this set of adjustable dumbbells as well. I ended up getting these and the stand and so far they work great but i have a few concerns. Essentially it is a mostly plastic design. We are very good to our home gym equipment, no dropping weights or throwing around but they feel like…

  2. Poor plastic product design – don’t waste your money I was really pleased with these Dumbbells initially – simple to use and compact for a quick home workout. As you can see from the photos, they were well taken care of and used exclusively on soft carpet, not concrete. I never threw the weights or slammed them after a set, so not heavy use or abuse. Unfortunately, the mechanism that holds the weight on the handle is plastic. In less than 2 years, it somehow broke on both of my weights. It is amazing that Bowflex would use cheap plastic to hold…

  3. Broke after 8 months – Unable to contact seller for replacement Like the dumbbells but they have broken with normal/recommended usage after only 8 months. One of the 2 dumbbells not longer rotates and a black plastic piece broke off. I’m trying to contact seller to see if I can get a replacement dumbbell but finding it impossible to contact the seller. I’m disappointed considering the set is now worthless and these were not cheap. If anyone knows how to contact the seller please let me know.
