  1. Overpriced Polyester Fill Comforter I’ve had the Buffy comforter for a little over a month now (they shipped a damaged product and refused my return – but that’s another story) and I have to say it’s one of the worst disappointments.Buffy hypes up the ‘cool-ness’ and ‘breathability’ of their comforter thanks to the ‘eucalyptus’ fabric – this will realistically never matter to most people who are spending this much on a comforter, because they will be putting a duvet cover on it. If you are planning to use a duvet cover, you can ignore this ‘special fabric’ altogether, as it would literally make zero difference. This thing sleeps HOT. The reason it sleeps so hot is that it is filled with polyester (plastic). Buffy spins this by only mentioning the eucalyptus exterior and the ‘recycled plastic bottles’ (pushing that sustainability angle) – it’s plastic. It’s filled with the same plastic material you would find in the cheapest comforter here on Amazon, and the only difference is they allegedly…

  2. NOT cooling I got this comforter to help cool me down at night. I have a memory foam mattress that sleeps very hot, this comforter claims to help with the heat – it doesn’t. I love being snuggled under my covers, I CANNOT do that with this comforter or I will be hot enough to heat a house simply by being in it. I can only use a small corner of it to put over my shoulders to give the illusion of being snuggled under my covers (leaving the rest of my body from my shoulders down uncovered) or else I’ll be awakened shortly from how unbelievably hot I am. This is hands down the hottest comforter I’ve ever had. Another company making claims they cannot back up, I was the dumb rube who fell for the lies. Don’t be dumb like me, save your money.

  3. Temperature control is questionable Extremely warm for San Francisco. I use it without a duvet cover and even with the windows open – I am sweaty during fall nights.
