  1. Well Made & Heavy Duty This Copper Peak cord reel is well made and heavy duty. The reel mechanism draws the cord up quickly and effectively. Shipping was very quick; I ordered it on a Sunday afternoon and received it the next day (a day or two ahead of the scheduled arrival).I chose to ceiling mount the reel in the garage next to the garage door receptacle (on the ceiling) and use the normally unused second outlet; this reel location is great. The reel is super convenient and I’ve used it many times while woodworking (nearly every day since purchase). I can pull it out to anywhere in my garage or down my driveway without the aggravation of battling a rat’s nest of cord. I can operate three tools without using multiple old-school extension cords. Then, with a tug or two, I can quickly reel the cord up without injury or the insult of knowing that I failed once again to avoid making a mess I’ll have to untangle next time. This is one of two Copper Peak cord reels I’ve purchased; I…

  2. Great Home Garage Add-On. This thing is a game changer for my garage which also serves as “project central” for my place. This is an investment I wish I had made five years ago when we built the place. I put it up yesterday and have already used it twice.Well built and easy to install. When installing, remove the mounting bracket from the caddy body first. Attach the bracket to ceiling or wall within easy 36” reach of a receptacle. Once the bracket is safely secured, reattach the caddy. Adjust the hang distance of the cord and you’re done. A great and very useful tool.

  3. Mostly nice, but beware the breaker… Overall it’s a pretty nice unit, that said I would caution some to beware the breaker. While it’s true I bought this unit for myriad uses of which it’s entirely adequate, one of my primary uses is around detailing my car and for that it leaves something to be desired.I use a combination of a Kranzle pressure washer and a MetroVac AirForce Master Blaster blower. The Kranzle is no problem at all, however this cord reel can’t hack powering the AirForce Master Blaster for more than 10 minutes or so. I had the same problem with an outlet strip which featured a similar, “so-called” 15A breaker. So if you intend to draw a lot of current it’s going to be problematic. In all fairness the Master Blaster may draw as much as 18 Amps, that said the typical 15A breakers in my panel don’t pop while this 15A breaker does.My only other two gripes are as follows. A. The default position of the cord stop is too aggressive, it leaves a lot of cord hanging out and if you reposition…
