No vanilla smell I bought this thinking it would be a treat for my Caribbean vacation. It’s thick and not greasy, which is great. It also has no white residue. But it smells fruity, with no vanilla undertone that I can detect. It also comes with a disclaimer on the back of the tube that it is not sufficient as sun protection.
