Regressions from IX500 I upgraded from my workhorse IX500 and based on the current firmware that wasn’t a good move.While the IX1500 is much easier to configure thatn the IX500, day-to-day it’s more difficult to operate:(1) Single-button cloud scans have now become two-button scans (you have to press “OK”) to acknowledge the document has been saved(2) Single-button-long-press (long document) scans have now become six-button scans: they still work, but you have to change the scan mode to…

  2. Should have stayed with my IX500 My ScanSnap IX500 is my favorite piece of office equipment which I affectionately refer to as “Darth Vader” due to its glossy, all black appearance.   3. This is definitely not an ix500 upgrade What a disappointment. I am returning my scanner after realizing the software that comes with the ix1500 appears to be written completely differently than what I was using with the ix500. As someone else mentioned, it appears to be written by another team of programmers. I find it more cumbersome and not as user-friendly. I also didn’t see anywhere where I could quickly include a scanned document into an email. That is one of the most important features of owning one of these so I could…
