Totally melted Opened the package for an early Mother’s Day celebration only to find them totally melted. Very expensive gift for this to have happened! Not a hot summer day either.
Faithful recreation of the original cakes in truffle form! I can understand people’s low rating if the truffles arrived broken or melted; but I thought the packaging was very protective and the temperature during shipping must have been fine as I received my box of 24 truffles in pristine condition. There is a lot of internal plastic and padding to protect the truffles and once I got the wrapping off I couldn’t wait to dig in! I have tried 4 of the six flavors and can say my favorites are the Tiramisu and Creme Brulee flavors! I have also tried the Chocolate Lava Cake Black Forest Cake flavors which are also delicious! Remember that these truffles are supposed to emulate the cakes and pastries they are based on…the best examples of this are the Tiramisu and Creme Brulee truffles. When these are popped in the mouth, and you start chewing, the experience is like eating the real thing – with the Tiramisu you can almost feel the ladyfingers, the creme patisserie, the shaved chocolate, and the gritty espresso beans & with the Creme Brulee…
