Disgusted – Found a WORM In The Container!!! Upon opening my container of Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides this morning, I found a live worm crawling around in the middle of the powder. What is even more concerning is that I was just about to add a scoop of this product to my 2 year old son’s oatmeal, as well as add some to my morning smoothie (and I am pregnant by the way).My family and I have been using this product on a daily basis for almost 1 year, and now I am extremely concerned that we have been consuming worms (or their eggs!) and did not notice until now, only when a worm happened to be on the surface. I am extremely disappointed in this discovery, as I thought I was buying an organic, non-GMO health product that had been through rigorous QA testing. I would 1000% NOT recommend this product, which is unfortunate as it allegedly has many health benefits, however it’s not worth the risk of contracting parasites.
DO NOT PURCHASE THIS FROM AMAZON! After just purchasing straight from Vital Proteins, I can now confirm that my first container (ordered from Amazon) was, indeed, a bad batch. The one from Amazon had a terrible odor and would only dissolve in hot liquids. The container I just opened from Vital Proteins has no smell at all, is a much finer powder, and easily dissolved in my iced tea. I never write reviews but this needs to said.
Hair health was a surprise A workout friend told me about this and how itâs good for your joints/workout recovery. Iâve been using it daily for 7 months and my finger nails are very strong and harder to cut with nail clippers AND my thinning hair has been growing back on top fuller as well as in length. Wow, I was not expecting that! Iâm happy. Maybe itâs the extra quality protein source in my diet from this product? Iâve taken biotin for many years for my hair and I think itâs helped (and will continue to take) but Vital Proteins has been a night and day difference.
