Meaningful Bell Ornament I was very happy to find this particular bell ornament to give to my 36 yr old daughter who just celebrated her 4 yr anniversary of “Ringing the Bell” at the cancer center. In her Caring Bridge journal, she wrote,” Chris and I both grew up loving the movie”It’s a Wonderful Life” and the bell ringing immediately made me think of the little girl in the movie letting her father know that her teacher told her”every time a bell rings, an angel gets its wings”…I believe that at the cancer center the bell ringing not only grants someone who has passed away a set of wings, but instantaneously grants a cancer survivor a set of butterfly wings as well. The bell is a beautiful reminder that we all can get our wings through … I purchased this for a Veteran who is a retired carpenter working on our house. One day as I left the house, I brushed past my stove, unknowingly hitting the gas knob on the stove, turning the gas on. Gas filled the kitchen. God was with us as our carpenter smelled gas from another room. Thank God he was safe and saved our house from disaster. I call him my guardian angel, a Clarence on earth. The bell is a beautiful reminder that we all can get our wings through kindness, love, and recognizing the work of God in our lives. When I saw this bell was from a veteran owned business, I just had to get it for our carpenter. It’s well made, rings clearly and shipped quickly.
Love “It’s a Wonderful Life” ornament concept, but… Absolutely love the idea of an “It’s a Wonderful Life” movie-inspired Christmas angel bell ornament, with both wing and “It’s a Wonderful Life charms! Watching this movie is one of our family traditions every Christmas Eve! I love that you’re a family-owned business, (we are, too) with your heart in your product, but I must be honest in my impression. The angel bell was advertised as bigger, but I’m sorry, I must admit I was disappointed in its small size and the quality of the bell itself. The bell seems thin and lightweight, whereas, the “It’s a Wonderful Life” charm feels heavier, a more expensive quality. When rung, the clapper makes a faint tinkling sound. Overall, I don’t feel the price equals the quality. If the bell’s material equaled that of the quality of the charm, I would be 100% satisfied, even with its current size.
