Effective, Convenient Product with some Quality Control issues I can report about some (mostly fixable) problems I had with the Luminette product, and also my comparison with the competing product “Re-Timer.”In summary, I would say that Luminette is definitely the most effective of the two products, although it may take a few rounds with the general manager (very helpful) to get yourself going. I found it worth my time to do that.I’ve now been using the Luminette happily for 3 months and find it extremely helpful. Following below are the details that I noted during my reviews of the two products.I ordered both the Luminette and Re-Timer at the same time, because I wasn’t sure which one was going to work best for me. My initial research caused me to expect that I would like the Re-Timer best.First, I would like to report the discoveries that I found with both of the units:-you can’t really see what you are doing while walking around in the house unless the lights are turned up, so…
A Good Bet… I’ve been using the Luminette since mid-March, and overall I’m very happy with them. Some notes to be aware of:1. You cannot use these in the dark! You will not be able to see…at all. In order for these to work, you must have daylight or the lights on. Otherwise, you’ll be falling over your feet, furniture or down stairs..whatever is in front of you, because you cannot see. These will not work as a means of light for moving about without disturbing others.2. When first using them, I felt a slight pressure around my temples from the arms of the glasses. I think this may be situational because most of the time I don’t feel it, but on occasion I will. I believe it may have to do with how I slept or am feeling.3. Depending on the bridge of your nose, these tend to slide down if I’m moving my head in any direction other than keeping it straight. If I look down, they’re slipping, so it may limit your movements depending on what you want to do while using them. I have…
I was never sure if it would work or be a waste of money I’ve been deciding on buying a blue light device to deal with winter blues for many years. I was never sure if it would work or be a waste of money, and I was scared I wouldn’t use it, ie sit in front of a big lamp every day. The fact that this device was developed at a university with a foundation in science, rather than simply as a large company trying to cash in on people’s problems made me want to give it a try. Also, being that it’s wearable, I felt I would actually use it b/c I can wear it while making coffee or meditating or whatever other morning rituals (getting dressed, brushing teeth.)For me, I feel like it’s made a pretty immediate difference. When I wake up on a real crappy weather dark day, I show them on the high setting for 20 minutes and I generally noticeably better and have more energy when I’m done. I use them most days for circadian rhythm maintenance, but the biggest difference is definitely on the lousy days.I will say I believe this…
