How could I start the day without one? I boil the water, I grind the beans, I put the #4 filter in the plastic filter apparatus, I put the coffee in the #4 filter, I pour the boiling water into the #4 filter, and in a minute or two, I am human once again, capable of morning small talk and even presentable in public.
