Great grinder with very slight imperfections I almost didn’t get this due to reviews citing horrible chemical smells, but took the dive and I’m quite pleased.At least in my case, it turned out to be the typical electric-motor smell from lubricants that you find in many a mechanized appliance, albeit somewhat pungent. BEST COFFEE GRINDER I tried 3 other coffee grinders that I did not like before purchasing this Mr. Coffee. Because I use a French press, which needs course grinds, this little machine works perfectly. The mechanism allows you to choose how many cups of coffee you will make, tells you how many TB of whole beans to put in the grinder, and has a setting for the type of grind desired. Why Is This A Bad Grinder? I love my espresso, French Press and my regular coffee. I like coffee, so when my latest Burr grinder went out I thought perhaps I would get this Mr Coffee as a temporary. Seriously? This grinder has issues. The design isn’t bad, even though there is a lot of plastic. If you set it on Course Grind, it grinds it but leaves way too many large pieces (even for French Press) and has a mix of fine and medium all together!
