Good quality product, but coud be easily improved. Very attractive, high-quality piece. Functions well at its primary purpose, i.e. keeping coffee grounds out of the coffee.This would be a five star product except that its a millimeter or three too short, in height. When placed in a 6-cup or 8-cup Chemex, the top of the filter sits BELOW the rim of the coffeepot. This worked great for about a month Agree with the other one-star ratings. Was excited to move away from paper filters. This worked great for about a month. Then is starts dripping sooooo slowly. Even after soaking for a day in vinegar I still canât get it to drip at a reasonable speed. Coffee now takes 20 mins to make vs 5 with paper filter. Going back to paper. Sigh.
Does not drip well. The updated model works perfectly. I ordered this product to eliminate buying Chemex filters each month. Unfortunately, no matter how fine or coarse the coffee was ground, the filter became clogged. I would have to stir the coffee/water mixture continuously until the coffee dripped through the cone. This action needed to be performed each time I added water to the filter. I think the mesh was too tight and the cone was unable to completely drain without this intervention.The idea is great but there may be other models…
