I have noticed that in the last 2 years the price has risen a bit more than I’d like to see and that there are less expensive versions of the dated silver plate bell out there. Declining quality I have purchased these bells since my 17 year old son was born. I have always had my childrens name engraved on them. This year, the engraver had to replace a bell and the engraving had to be done very lightly because the silver dipping was so thin. Very sad that a tradition my mom started 50 years ago with my sister is likely coming to an end.
