Not a Samsung T-5 – Confirmed by Samsung 500 GB external hard drive was delivered with 87 MB of space. Called Samsung support and the serial number confirmed that this is not a Samsung product. I don’t know what third party Amazon bought this product from but they should be investigated immediately.

If you’re planning on using this for a Mac, … If you’re planning on using this for a Mac, erase and reformat. It’s compact and lightweight. The transfer speed is also faster than I expected. I will by upgrading to 1TB (or higher) strictly for video soon.
