… bought many of these and at first they were great. They would work for a solid karaoke night I have bought many of these and at first they were great. They would work for a solid karaoke night. But inevitably they would break, one by one. The problem is a design flaw that creates stress on the ground wire solder point. Sometimes even just the smallest amount of pulling on the cord that is attached to the base of the mic will create tension and pull that soldered wire free. You will then unscrew the top and sure enough, the circuit would be broke. I think I had bought about 4 of these over the course of about 2 – 4 months and I even resoldered a couple of them, which gave me a few more nights worth of use out of them. But them I found a different option on Amazon that added about 4 dollars to the price but over a year worth of work. As such, I really cannot recommend these at all.
Horrible quality – buyer beware! These are horrible quality! We bought two to replace the one that came with our Singing Machine karaoke unit we got our daughter for Christmas. The original microphone stopped working on Christmas day. I bought these as a replacement for that one. One of them lasted about a week. The other one maybe 2-2.5? My kids have not been rough with these (especially the second set–I was very careful to outline how gentle we needed to be with them!).
