GREAT mic flag for those wanting to add that touch of professionalism I purchased this mic flag last minute as my company was just days away from covering Imagine Music Festival in Atlanta (just a few weeks ago) and I wanted a mic flag for us to use with our logo on it for all the interviews we were doing.The quality of the plastic is solid, so no issues there. The only issue I have, which wasn’t THAT big of a deal, is the foam insert in the mic flag. The foam insert is a little too spongy which can lead to the mic flag tapping the housing of your microphone, which can obviously create issues if you’re in the middle of an interview (or whatever you’re using it for) where the microphone might pick up the tapping noise. If they made the foam insert less spongy, this would be a 5 star product. I would also like to point out that I personally did not have an issue with the mic flag tapping the housing of the microphone, just pointing out that it’s a possibility.
SIZE IS WRONG! Inside diameter of this is 36mm. That may not sound a lot different than the 39mm hole as advertised in the description but those 3 millimeters makes all the difference in the world when it won’t fit over your 38mm diameter microphone. I’ll probably have to drill this out with a dremmel to open it up more or throw it in the trash or something.
Not for âskinnyâ microphones. Foam ring inside box is meant for âfatâ microphones. This slips right off of my reporter âthinnerâ mic. Was able to modify, but manufacturer should consider making the hole in the foam smaller. Everything else seems good quality for the price.
