SMYRNA, Ga. — Three right lanes are blocked on I-285 SB (Outer Loop) after South Cobb Drive (Exit 15) as GDOT crews work to repair a pothole on Friday morning.
GDOT crews have been working since Thursday night to patch a hole.
The state is not sure how long this work will last, but crews are still well involved in the repair into the 5 a.m. hour on Friday. Just before 5 a.m., a crash occurred in the left lane, which has left only the second left lane open.
11Alive Traffic’s Doug Turnbull suggests commuters take I-75 SB into Downtown Atlanta and follow I-75/85 SB to I-20, until work finishes on I-285 SB.
