ATLANTA — Several significant U.S. founding documents will make their way to Atlanta soon, part of a “Freedom Plane” national tour bringing the documents to eight cities across the country to mark the nation’s 250th anniversary.
According to the tour’s website, Atlanta is the second stop on the tour, after Kansas City, and will host the documents at the Atlanta History Center from March 27-April 12.
“The original National Archives records featured in the exhibition are traveling together for the first time,” the website states. “To preserve our American history for another 250 years, the National Archives and National Archives Foundation are pleased to bring this special traveling exhibition to you, the American people, to celebrate our Semiquincentennial.”
