Where ‘you wouldn’t see this on the news’ meets, well, the news. But different.
ATLANTA — We’re delivering positivity a little differently these days, and we want you to know about it.
What Is The Bright Side?
The Bright Side is a feel-good, community-driven video podcast from 11Alive that focuses on one thing: highlighting the good that’s happening in and around Atlanta.
In a media landscape that can feel dominated by negative headlines, this show intentionally flips the script, sharing stories of kindness, resilience, and everyday people making a difference.
Each episode is built around real-life moments, from strangers stepping in to help, to kids changing their communities, to unexpected acts of compassion and resilience that restore your faith in humanity. The goal is simple: The Bright Side wants to leave viewers feeling better than when they started, and maybe even inspired to do a little good themselves.
Meet the hosts
The Bright Side is hosted by Kaitlyn Ross and Aisha Howard, two journalists who bring both storytelling experience and genuine chemistry to the show.
Kaitlyn, our “good news finder,” is known for uncovering powerful human-interest stories through her reporting. Aisha brings energy, perspective, and relatability, creating a dynamic that feels more like a conversation than traditional TV news. Together, they balance emotion, humor, and thoughtful reflection, making each story feel personal.

Why these stories matter
What makes The Bright Side different isn’t just the stories, it’s the intention behind them. The show leans into the idea that what we consume shapes how we see the world. By focusing on the good, we hope the show can encourage more compassion and community building around Atlanta. Your good news is our good news.
