Terry Gannon, Tara Lipinski and Johnny Weir will host NBC’s 2026 Winter Olympics Closing Ceremony coverage. Here’s what to know.
MILAN, Italy — The 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan Cortina will come to a close Sunday, Feb. 22, and a familiar NBC trio is set to guide viewers through the ceremony.
The Closing Ceremony is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. ET, followed by a “Best of Milan Cortina” at 5 p.m. An encore presentation will air in primetime at 9 p.m.
NBC Sports announced that Terry Gannon, Tara Lipinski and Johnny Weir will host the Closing Ceremony live from Italy.
Who are Terry Gannon, Johnny Weir and Tara Lipinski?
Gannon is a veteran broadcaster who you may have seen during the figure skating events. He served as a play-by-play commentator alongside Lipinski and Weir as part of his fourth consecutive Winter Olympics.
Milan Cortina marks Gannon’s eighth Olympic assignment. He has hosted the past four Olympic Closing Ceremonies and is also handling his first-ever Olympic Opening Ceremony this year.
Lipinski and Weir are longtime Olympic figure skating analysts for NBC Sports.
Lipinski won Olympic gold in women’s figure skating at the 1998 Nagano Games. Weir is a two-time Olympic figure skater who competed at the 2006 and 2010 Winter Olympics.
Throughout the 2026 Winter Games, the pair have provided analysis and commentary on figure skating events, breaking down performances and technical elements for viewers.
