Emergency crews were called to the scene to rescue the worker after he reportedly fell off a ladder and into a large hole.
ATLANTA — A worker is recovering at the hospital after he reportedly fell into a hole while working in downtown Atlanta late Wednesday night.
The incident happened at the corner of Shirley Franklin Boulevard and Trinity Avenue. Emergency crews were called to the scene to rescue the worker after he reportedly fell off a ladder and into a large hole.
11Alive was informed that the worker is a vacuum truck operator who was completing construction work when the incident happened.
Following his rescue, the worker was taken to Grady Hospital for evaluation and treatment. Crews were seen covering up the large hole in anticipation of the morning rush traffic.
Details about the extent of the worker’s injuries are currently unknown.
