Influencer Mike Holston, known as “the Real Tarzann,” said a “small mistake” on his part lead to a skydiving accident and his hospitalization Friday.
WASHINGTON — Mike Holston, known online as influencer “the Real Tarzann,” said he was hospitalized after a “skydiving accident.”
He said it happened Friday and he’s “in some pretty good pain but just happy to be alive.”
Holston is known for his outdoor and exotic animal content and has more than 16 million followers on Instagram.
“I’ll probably be out for a few weeks,” he wrote in an Instagram caption alongside a photo of him in a hospital bed giving a thumbs up.
He posted a series of videos to his Instagram stories and in another post explaining more detail.
“All is good! If I wasn’t too banged up I’d gear up and go up again for another jump,” he wrote. “Just a small mistake on my end and it’s apart of the sport ! Small user error but nonetheless stoked to be able to get back to it in no time.”
He said he would post a video about what happened in the days to come.
“I’m good just a little banged up,” he wrote. “Another rough day in the office!”
It’s unclear what caused the accident, what injuries Holston had and where he was skydiving.
