WASHINGTON — Vanna White, the longtime “Wheel of Fortune” co-host, announced on social media Wednesday that she got married to John Donaldson.

“Surprise! We got married!” she wrote. “We’re excited to share this new joyful chapter in our lives with all of you!”
The post features various photos of the newlyweds, including one of Donaldson holding White in a bridal-style pose. Other pictures included the two holding hands while lounging poolside.
Friends and fans took to the comments to congratulate the couple, including Maggie Sajak, Pat Sajak’s daughter, and the official “Wheel of Fortune” social media account.
She said they have been in love for a long time, but wanted to make their marriage official on paper.
“I mean, we’ve been together 12 years, and I feel like we are married,” she told PEOPLE. “Do we have to get married? No, because we feel comfortable in our relationship. You know what I mean? I know that he’s the one. He knows I’m the one.”
White has been a co-host on “Wheel of Fortune” since 1982.
She has two children from her previous marriage with George Santo Pietro. They were married for 12 years and share a 29-year-old daughter, Gigi Santo Pietro, and a 31-year-old son, Nikko Santo Pietro.
