Riding the rails in Amtrak’s new leisurewear brand could cost you nearly $300.

WASHINGTON — Traveling should be comfortable, and Amtrak is hoping to capitalize on that idea with its new “Trak Suit” collection, featuring styles based around the iconic train company’s branding.

In a statement, the company said the Trak Suit is being released to coincide with a new fleet of trains, the NextGen Acela fleet.

The outfit consists of a branded zip-up with an Amtrak logo on the zipper tab, designed in the company’s dark blue-and-white color scheme. There are also a pair of matching black-and-blue joggers and a white sleep mask to complete the ensemble.

But riding the rails in Amtrak’s version of comfort could cost you a pretty penny. A set of the leisurewear runs $279.00, and Amtrak warns they’re only available for a limited time.

“The creativity and ingenuity behind the design embodies the perfect blend of Amtrak’s heritage, and the innovation of today, reflected in the premium, modern style that NextGen Acela represents,” said Jessica Davidson, Amtrak’s Vice President of Digital & Brand Management, in a statement.

The outfit is modeled after the NextGen Acela trains, the train operator’s flagship vehicles. They launched in 2025 and operate between Boston, New York and Washington, D.C.

As one of the newest trains on the rails, the Acela line is designed to provide maximum comfort to passengers, with Wi-Fi, power outlets, reading lights and an onboard cafe.
