Planned reopening scheduled for March 28th; MARTA staff to assist customers in the interim
ATLANTA — The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority, or MARTA, is continuing to install its new fare payment system.
All faregates at the Airport Station will be closed for construction from Monday, March 2nd, through Saturday, March 28th.
During this time, customers should expect to use the station’s emergency doors facing the West Curb or the shuttle loop and to follow the signs. Customers will need to enter and exit the airport through North and South Terminal doors W-1 and W-2.
Airport Station’s concourse will remain open for customers to buy tickets and passes from either the vending machines or the RideStore. Customers will not need to pay fare to enter or exit the station, but must pay at their origin or destination.
Customers should follow signs and listen for announcements. MARTA staff will be on site to assist.
MARTA is working with airport staff and its construction partners to work quickly and efficiently to minimize impact to customers at this high-ridership station.
